Graffiti Mechanism’s Amalgamate out now!

Amalgamate is a drone composition evolving around a comforting layer of noise, by Adam Crammond, a vegan, sound artist from Toledo, Ohio. While actively producing under the alias of c4 (C for Crammond and 4 for the number of letters in Adam), he has been utilising his Graffiti Mechanism name much more due to his current musical direction of noise/drone/ambient.

He has released on a variety of labels which include 20kbps, Happy Puppy Records, HN, LTR, TFN, and he is also the curator and operator of the netlabel, proc-records. Listen and download here.

Happy winter days

“Fall Is For Lovers” - A Phlow Mag Mixtape

Hello everyone,

Banjo Consortium’s “Grizzly” from the ctfl compilation made it on Sven Swift’s new freely downloadable mixtape “Fall is for lovers” for the Phlow magazine. The mix, which he describes as a collection of catchy pop tunes, is the kick off of Phlow magazine’s advent calendar and hence a month of goodies is awaiting you there.

Take care

New 5 track Netaudio EP by Chun Lee

Hello Everyone!

After some months of intimidating silence and lazyness, I am happy to say, we are back with the promised new release! Chun Lee’s netaudio debut on CTFL, a 5 track EP, has been made using exclusively open source software such as pure:dyne, a linux distribution for media artists and pure data, a real-time graphical programming environment for audio, video, and graphical processing. Now combine this with his classical background and you will have a geeky idm orchestration with a lot of low fi computer music influence.

Take care!

Michael

New artist and new video

Hello everyone,

as you might have noticed,we have a new artist in our roaster,
Chun Lee, a Taiwanese sound artist currently based in London, UK.

With a background in classical music, he became increasingly drawn into contemporary music and electronic arts. This led him to the open source software movement, in which he is now active in various ways, e.g. as a member of the London based but internationally operating Openlab and Goto10.

As his first contribution, we have an audio/visual collaboration between him and Olivier Laruelle. The result is “Glass Cloud” which is also a song from his upcoming netaudio release on catch the falling leaves. The visual artist in this collaboration is Olivier Laruelle. Orginially from France he is now as well based in London and an active member of Openlab. Both are performing live as an audio/visual duo under the name Cracktux.

More information and links to streams and downloads of the video as well as a stream of the video you’ll find in the catalogue.

Happy Summer

Michael

Here comes our Netaudio debut!

Hola again,

Mikel Martínez, following his project Aitänna77 is giving us a 4 track netaudio ep of happy melancholic (i can’t decide) electro acoustic glitch/folk music named “Love You / Need You / Miss You / Hate You”. I am a minimalist and hence stop writing.

Find more info here.
Take care!

Michael
